Meet Canvas Cake Creations owner, Francesca Chimera

Professional Pastry Chef, Cake Artist, Singer/Songwriter/Musician

Francesca is a graduate from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. She has also earned an Alain Ducasse French Certificate after studying at the world acclaimed Ecole Nationale Superieure De Patisserie, pastry arts school, in Yssingeaux, France. Her talent and skill in drawing and painting is what makes “Canvas Cake Creations” unique and personal to what every client desires and envisions.

Coming from an artistic background, Francesca has had many accomplishments as an artist. She was fortunate to be part of an International Baccalaureate Art Program as part of her education in which she completed multiple works of art that were sent around the world. She has won numerous art awards in local painting competitions, has had published works in newspaper articles and a calendar, and has designed and painted a wall mural for charity at a children’s museum.

Francesca is not only a cake artist, however. She is a local singer/songwriter musician as well. She has had the opportunity to perform for Chef Emeril Lagasse and numerous shows in both Rhode Island and Chicago, as well as done national anthems for various sport activities.

It is this special blend of talent in art and pastry that distinguishes Francesca and Canvas Cake Creations in the area of custom design cakes and pastries. While the company delivers on traditional style pastries and cakes for all occasions, Francesca’s signature work is best expressed through her motto, “My Canvas. Your Cake.”
